Operation Christmas Child

One advantage to working from home is that if you need to leave right at 6:00, you can. Allison participates in the Love In Action ministry at our church and this week they were working on the Operation Christmas Child gift boxes.


Sophia understood what we were doing but Zachary went back and forth of toys for him and toys for someone else. No major meltdowns and a lot of fun. It is always nice to see the video so you can see the living conditions and just how excited 1 shoebox of stuff can make a child. We did something like this a few years ago with work, sending stuffed animals to India when folks were travelling to deliver training. We sent 1 giant trash bag of toys and every picture that came back had a child with one of our toys. It was a mix of joy to see the positive impact you made twinged a sense of guilt that you had that many "extra" stuffed animals.
